Scholarship Program Full Details
Eligibility
Contest participants must be high school seniors with a minimum Grade Point Average
of 2.5 and must be planning to attend a major postsecondary institution or trade school.
Employees of Country Mart and Associated Wholesale Grocers, as well as their immediate
families, are not eligible to win.
Winning
Throughout the contest, participating high school seniors should encourage their family,
friends and neighbors to shop at Country Mart and use their Country Mart cards. Country
Mart Educational Program Headquarters will electronically track all sponsor purchases made
January 1 through April 15, 2009.
Beginning February 17, 2009, each senior's progress will be posted weekly in their local
store. One point will be awarded to the student for every whole dollar spent on his/her
behalf. The student collecting the greatest number of points will win a $1,000 scholarship;
the runner-up will receive a $500 scholarship; and third place will win a $250 scholarship.
One of each scholarship will be awarded at each participating Country Mart location. Each
store's first prize scholarship winner will also be entered in a random drawing for one
additional $5,000 scholarship. All scholarships must be used for postsecondary education
at a trade school, college or university. Scholarship winners must have proof of registration
by September 1, 2009, or scholarship will be null and void. Winners will be announced no
later than May 1, 2009.
Student Registration
Eligible entrants should complete a registration form and have it signed by a school counselor
for GPA verification.
Registration forms should be mailed along with a wallet-sized photo to:

purchases will be tracked from January 1, through April 15, 2009.
Sponsor Enrollment
This year Country Mart is pleased to announce that there will be two ways for seniors to
enroll sponsors:
1.) Sponsors themselves may log on to www.mycountrymart.com, click on the Country Mart
Scholarship logo and select the student whom they would like to support
OR
2.) Seniors may collect Country Mart Card ID's and Last Name from sponsors and enroll
them online at www.mycountrymart.com. Just click on the County mart Scholarship logo,
and then click on the "Enroll Others" tab. It's that easy! All students are responsible
for the sponsor enrollment process in one of the two aforementioned ways. No lists will
be accepted by e-mail, mail, fax or any other way not mentioned above other than the process
provided at www.mycountrymart.com.
*All card numbers must be complete, have authorizing last name and be accurate to be valid.
Each sponsor may apply their card purchases to only one participating senior. Misrecorded card
numbers are void and will not be credited. Rules are subject to change without notification.
The decisions of Country Mart and AWG are final.
