Casillero del Diablo Reserva Merlot, Chile, 2013
Merlot Rapel Valley. Reserve. More than 100 years ago Don Melchor de Concha y Toro reserved for himself an exclusive batch of the best wines he produced. And, to keep strangers away from his private reserve, he spread the rumor that the devil lived in that place. Hence the name: Casillero del Diablo or cellar of the devil. Merlot Central Valley. Winemaker's Note: A smooth Merlot that perfectly combines plumy, herby flavours with smoky cedar wood. A fruity wine with a full well-structured texture and soft tannins. Food Match: A great match to lightly spiced red meats and mature cheeses. Alc. 13.5% by vol. Produced and bottled in Chlie by Vina Concha y Toro S.A. Produce of Chile.
